Primary Teaching Assistant - Totnes & Torbay
Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Primary Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of welcoming primary schools across Totnes, Torbay, Paignton and surrounding areas. Opportunities are available on a day-to-day, short-term and long-term basis, with additional work available for candidates willing to travel to Newton Abbot and Plymouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience supporting children in an educational setting, or those looking to gain valuable experience within primary schools.
The Role
Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation
Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development
Helping to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children is desirable
A caring, patient and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptable and confident working in different school settings
Driving licence and access to a vehicle beneficial, particularly for travel across Totnes, Torbay, Newton Abbot and Plymouth
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
