The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across a range of year groups and abilities. Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
Working with pupils individually and in small groups
Supporting literacy, numeracy and other curriculum activities
Helping pupils stay engaged and focused on their learning
Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
Providing encouragement and helping pupils develop confidence
Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
Assisting with activities, trips and wider school life
Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies

About You

We’re looking for Teaching Assistants who are:

Caring, patient and enthusiastic
Passionate about supporting children and young people
Confident working with pupils of different ages and abilities
Reliable and adaptable
Able to build positive relationships
Comfortable working as part of a wider school team
Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Previous experience working in a school, nursery, childcare, SEND, care or youth setting is beneficial. Relevant qualifications are welcomed but experience and the right attitude are equally important for many of our roles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
