Teaching Assistant – Primary School

Are you passionate about supporting children and making a positive difference in the classroom?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a friendly and supportive primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and helping them grow in confidence, independence and ability.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to provide high-quality support to pupils throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups

Assisting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities

Helping pupils stay engaged, focused and motivated

Supporting children with additional learning needs/SEND

Encouraging positive behaviour and building confidence

Helping with literacy, numeracy and other areas of the curriculum

Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment

Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience working with primary-aged children

Is caring, patient and enthusiastic

Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

Is confident supporting pupils with different abilities and needs

Can build positive relationships with children and staff

Is reliable, adaptable and able to work well as part of a team

Has a genuine passion for helping children succeed

Previous experience within a school setting is desirable, but we would also love to hear from candidates with relevant transferable experience working with children.
