The role will involve building positive relationships with pupils, providing 1:1 and small-group support, managing challenging behaviour and helping young people develop the confidence and skills to engage with their education.
The successful candidate must:
Have previous experience working as an Intervention Mentor or in a similar role.
Have experience supporting secondary-aged pupils.
Have experience working with young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
Be confident managing challenging situations and de-escalating behaviour.
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Have a valid DBS on the Update Service.
Hold up-to-date Safeguarding and Allergy Awareness training certificates.
Be reliable, patient and able to build positive relationships with young people.
