If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join dedicated team as a SEN Teaching Assistant!

Our Client believes in providing inclusive education that meets the diverse needs of all our students. They are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with our SENCo and classroom teachers to provide personalized support to children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant you will Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, both in the classroom and in specialized intervention sessions You will assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies to support student progress and well-being.  Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.  Collaborating with classroom teachers and the SENCo to adapt lesson plans and materials to meet the individual learning needs of students with SEN.  Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents, and participating in student review meetings.

Requirements:

As a SEN teaching assistant you should have a relevant qualifications or experience working with children with special educational needs. You should have experience of different SEN conditions and strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.  Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards supporting the development and well-being of children with SEN. A willingness to participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
