TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school based in the NE5 area of Newcastle upon Tyne, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can help create a positive and engaging learning environment where children feel supported and encouraged to succeed.
The school is looking to take on a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support classroom activities, assist with the delivery of lessons, encourage pupil engagement and help maintain a positive learning environment.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally across KS1
A good understanding of the primary curriculum
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach to supporting children's learning
Adaptability and a willingness to work as part of a team
