TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcomingmainstream primary schools across Leeds that are seeking enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistants for temporary cover roles. These schools are recognised for their supportive leadership teams, inclusive learning environments and positive school communities, where support staff play a vital role in helping pupils thrive both academically and personally.
We are looking for a Primary School Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day and short-term classroom cover from September across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with occasional opportunities in Nursery and Reception. As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities, provide one-to-one and small group support, promote positive behaviour, uphold safeguarding procedures at all times and help every child feel confident, supported and ready to succeed.
The successful Primary School Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working within a UK primary school setting
A passion for supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
