About the Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to a pupil with behavioural needs, helping them engage positively in the classroom and achieve their learning goals.
You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where the pupil can thrive both academically and socially.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in behaviour support, additonal learning needs (ALN), and primary education.
Your Responsibilities
Deliver dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
Encourage participation, confidence, and engagement in learning.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.

Has a passion for supporting children and young people.
Is patient, resilient, and proactive.
Can remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
Has experience working with children, education, youth work, care, sports coaching, or similar roles (desirable but not essential).
Requirements
Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Ability to provide references covering the last two years.
Right to work in the UK.
