About the School:

A leading special school located in Salisbury, Wiltshire, dedicated to providing high-quality education and support for children and young people aged 4 to 19 with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities. The school is renowned for its inclusive and nurturing environment, where every student is valued, respected, and supported to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs
Support students with personal care, mobility, and independent living skills as needed, fostering their confidence, self-esteem, and sense of belonging within the school community.
Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to monitor students' progress, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and make adjustments to support plans as necessary.
Communicate regularly with parents and carers, providing feedback on students' achievements, challenges, and areas for development, and promoting positive home-school partnerships.
What are we looking for?

Knowledge of and experience with a range of SEN conditions, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), speech and language difficulties, sensory processing disorder (SPD), and physical disabilities.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, families, and external professionals.
Empathy, patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development and well-being of children and young people with special educational needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
