Role: Teaching Assistant – SEN
Contract: Full-time / Temporary, with potential for long-term opportunities

Engage Education are currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Tameside.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and wants to make a genuine difference to their education and development.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and specialist support staff to provide personalised support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
* Helping pupils access learning activities and develop their confidence.
* Supporting communication, social and emotional development.
* Encouraging independence and positive behaviour.
* Assisting pupils with their individual learning targets.
* Supporting sensory and practical activities.
* Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and external professionals.
* Supporting personal care where required.
* Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
About You

Previous experience working with SEN, SEND, ASC, ADHD, SEMH, SLD or PMLD would be highly desirable. Experience in education, care, support work or youth work would also be considered.
