Job Requirements of this Home Tutor job in Lichfield

Ability to provide support to pupils aged 5-18 with complex needs, including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) related conditions, trauma, attachment, and anxiety.

Experience and willingness to work with pupils requiring specialised support in an educational setting.

Capacity to assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with pupils, staff, and parents/guardians.

Dedication to promoting inclusion and supporting the holistic development of pupils with diverse needs.

Qualifications or Certificates:

Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Education, Health and Social Care, or related field.

Certifications or training in areas such as autism awareness, trauma-informed care, and behaviour management would be advantageous.

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young people with complex needs, including ASC related conditions, trauma, attachment, and anxiety, is desirable.

Familiarity with implementing individualised support plans and behaviour management strategies within an educational environment.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff.

As a Teaching Assistant at an independent specialist school, you will provide support to pupils aged 5-18 with complex needs, including ASC related conditions, trauma, attachment, and anxiety.
