Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay: £95–£100 per day PAYE
Contract: Long-term

Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist all-through SEND school in Frome. This exciting Teaching Assistant opportunity involves supporting pupils across a wide age range, from primary through to secondary education, within a highly supportive and inclusive environment.

The school provides education for pupils with a variety of additional learning needs and is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can help learners develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils access the curriculum while encouraging positive outcomes both in and out of the classroom.

What You'll Be Doing as a Teaching Assistant:

• Providing individualised support tailored to each pupil's needs
• Assisting with classroom learning and educational activities
• Supporting pupils with communication, interaction, and emotional development
• Encouraging participation in lessons and school life
• Helping pupils develop independence and self-confidence
• Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet learning objectives
• Monitoring pupil progress and celebrating achievements
• Creating a positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or within a SEND setting is desirable
• A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
• A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs
• Confidence working with pupils who require extra support with learning and development
• Commitment to promoting inclusion and pupil success
