TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Newport. The school provides an inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.
The school is looking to take on a Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant on a short-term, full-time basis. The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will support pupils across KS3 and KS4 in the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, while assisting teachers with lesson delivery, pupil engagement and classroom management.
The successful Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:
Fluency in spoken and written Welsh
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting young people in an educational setting
Confidence supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A caring, patient and supportive approach
The ability to adapt quickly to the needs of pupils and the school
