Empowering Learning are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school located in the heart of Kidderminster, committed to providing exceptional education and support for children with special educational needs (SEN).

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join this vibrant school. The successful candidate will work as part of a team under the direction of a qualified teacher assisting pupils to access a broad curriculum, based on the National curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students in their learning journey and help them achieve progress during lessons.
Assist the teacher or tutor with preparing educational materials and lesson plans.
Ensure students thrive not only in academic settings, but also in developing self-help skills, life skills and social understanding.
Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
Support the emotional and social development of students, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Promote and ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.Requirements:

A teaching assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of SEN students.
Knowledge of autism and/or special educational needs.
