Smile Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Wolverhampton (WV1).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their potential within a supportive secondary school environment.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with a range of additional and special educational needs.
Providing 1:1 and small-group support both in and outside the classroom.
Helping pupils to engage with learning and overcome barriers to education.
Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development.
Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral/SEN team.
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.
Experience in a school, care, youth work or support setting is welcomed.
A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach.
Confident supporting pupils with a range of needs.
Reliable, proactive and committed to making a positive difference.
