Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Tiverton and the surrounding areas from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy supporting children's learning, building confidence, and helping pupils thrive in the classroom. Whether you are experienced or looking to gain valuable school-based experience, we would love to hear from you.

We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Role Details

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Tiverton and surrounding areas
Start Date: September
Pay: Competitive weekly pay (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Flexible supply, short-term, long-term, full-time and part-time opportunities available
Term Time Only

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Helping children build confidence and make progress in their learning
• Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom participation
• Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources
• Supporting pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
• Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

We Are Looking For Candidates Who:

• Have experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable)
• Are positive, patient, and enthusiastic
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
• Are passionate about helping children succeed
• Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential)
• Are reliable, adaptable, and eager to support pupils' development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
