SEN Teacher - Full-Time | September Start | Eccles

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a fantastic secondary special school in Eccles, which is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join its team on a full-time basis from September for the full academic year.

This rewarding role involves teaching secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including students with Down syndrome. The successful candidate will be passionate about creating engaging, personalised learning experiences that enable every pupil to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs.

Teach and support secondary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Down syndrome.

Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom where every student can thrive.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and other professionals to support pupil progress.

Monitor, assess and celebrate individual achievements while adapting teaching strategies to maximise learning outcomes.

Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues to ensure the best possible support for every learner.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Have experience teaching pupils with special educational needs, or demonstrate a genuine passion for working within an SEN setting.

Have an understanding of how to adapt teaching to meet the needs of learners with Down syndrome and other additional needs.

Be patient, resilient and committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential.

Possess excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
