Teaching Assistant – Emotional, Social and Behavioural Difficulties
Location - Cardiff
Pay rate - £422.50 per week (£84.50 per day)
Duration - Long-term (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3pm)

We are seeking 2*teaching assistants to work within a special needs school for pupils aged between 11 and 18 years old with complex ESBD (Emotional, Social and Behavioural Difficulties). The school actively promote wellbeing and advocate outdoor learning as a part of this. This has been successful in supporting the pupils in all aspects in line with their holistic approach to learning and wellbeing.

Responsibilities:
* Working within a small class to support pupils who have complex ESBD and additional learning needs.
* Supporting pupils in enhancing self-esteem and social interaction skills.
* Encouraging pupils to take pride in their achievements and celebrate them.
* Supporting pupils to management their behaviour, emotions, and frustration.
* Working closely as part of a team with other members of teaching staff.
Requirements:
* Experience of working with pupils in a similar environment and of a similar age within the last 3 years.
* Strong behaviour management skills and communication skills
* Ability to build strong rapport with pupils based on mutual trust and respect.
