Teaching Assistant - 1:1 SEN Support - Crosby

Location: Crosby, Sefton
Start Date: Immediate start until 16th October 2026

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience

Tradewind Education is recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 10 female pupil at a supportive secondary school in Crosby.

The pupil has Autism and complex social and emotional needs and requires a consistent, understanding and nurturing member of staff who can support her throughout the school day.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers, build confidence and engage positively with education.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the pupil and the school's SEND team to provide personalised support with:

Social and emotional development and building positive relationships.
Supporting her wellbeing and emotional regulation.
Encouraging engagement with learning and supporting her academically.
Developing confidence, resilience and independence.
Managing challenges that may arise during the school day.
Supporting positive communication and interaction with peers and staff.
Helping the pupil to feel safe, settled and able to access the school environment.
Working consistently with school staff to implement appropriate support strategies.The successful candidate will build a strong professional relationship with the pupil while maintaining appropriate boundaries, consistency and expectations.

An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
A full career history
At least two professional references, including your most recent placement
