Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Wakefield & surrounding areas
Start Date: September / ASAP
Salary: £90 – £120 per day
Contract: Day-to-Day, Short-Term & Long-Term
Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across Wakefield?
Are you confident providing classroom cover and delivering planned lessons across KS1 and KS2?

TeacherActive is working with a range of primary schools across Wakefield and surrounding areas who are looking for confident and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistants for day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities.
The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant may be responsible for:
Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2
Providing PPA and teacher absence cover
Leading small-group interventions
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining routines
Working closely with class teachers and senior leaders
The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will have:
HLTA qualification or relevant equivalent experience
Previous UK primary school experience
Confidence delivering planned lessons
Strong classroom and behaviour management
Experience supporting KS1 and/or KS2
Good safeguarding knowledge
A flexible and reliable approach
