Tradewind Recruitment is working with a fantastic primary school in Potters Bar that is looking to appoint a committed and compassionate KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026, with the flexibility for an earlier start if you're available.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide dedicated one-to-one support for a Key Stage 2 pupil, helping them develop confidence, overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and socially within a caring, inclusive school community.

With the potential to move into a full-time position from January and a permanent contract from April, this role offers excellent long-term career prospects.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Key Stage 2 pupil
Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement in learning
Supporting the child's academic, emotional and social development
Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team to deliver targeted interventions
Adapting support to meet the pupil's individual needs
Building positive relationships with parents, staff and the wider school community
Helping to create a nurturing and positive learning environment every day

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has previous experience supporting primary-aged children, ideally in Key Stage 2
Is confident working on a one-to-one basis with pupils who require additional learning or emotional support
Is patient, caring and naturally nurturing
Can build strong relationships with children, colleagues and families
Is flexible, proactive and eager to make a lasting impact
Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or has equivalent school-based experience
