Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1-1 support to a child with additional needs at one of our partner schools around Havering. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the life of a young learner and contribute to their academic and personal development.
Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1-1 support to a child with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.

Assist the child with tasks and activities, adapting teaching methods and resources to meet their individual needs.

Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement personalised learning plans.

Monitor the child's progress and development, providing regular feedback to the teacher and SENCO.

Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where the child feels valued, safe, and empowered to succeed.
Requirements:

Experience working with children with additional needs, preferably within a school setting.
*
Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN) and/or teaching assistant roles.
*
Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support children with additional needs.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.

Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children facing challenges.
