Teaching Assistant - Dover
We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Dover who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.
Although the school is a mainstream Primary setting, they have a high level of SEN needs across the school, making this an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team, providing both classroom and targeted support to pupils.
The role:
Supporting pupils across the Primary age range
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Supporting children with a range of SEN and additional needs
Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning
Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development
Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
Creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
The ideal candidate:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is desirable
Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable
Patient, nurturing and understanding
Confident supporting pupils with a range of needs
Able to build positive relationships with children
Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic
Holds an Enhanced DBS, or is willing to obtain oneThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who particularly enjoys SEN-focused work but would like to work within a mainstream Primary School environment.
