Salary: £18,062.85 per annum
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream school in Paignton that is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils. The school promotes a nurturing ethos where every child is encouraged to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis with an immediate start available. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the school, working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging learning opportunities, provide classroom support and assist children with additional needs. Applicants who are comfortable supporting pupils with SEND are preferred, and driving is preferred but not essential.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Previous experience working with children within an educational setting
• Experience supporting children with SEND is preferred
• A caring, patient and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A willingness to support pupils with a range of learning needs
