About the role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be working alongside class teachers to support pupils' learning and development, both in whole-class settings and with small groups or individual children. Duties may include:
Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery
Working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils, including those with SEN
Helping to prepare learning materials and resources
Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
General classroom support to ensure a positive learning environmentWhat we're looking for
Previous experience working with children (in a school, nursery, or similar setting) is desirable but not essential
A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is beneficial but not required for all roles
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
