Job Description:

Equitas are seeking a motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our clients educators and students starting in September 2024, with an earlier start date possible. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working in a dynamic school environment and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support classroom management and behavior strategies.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Supervise students during breaks, lunch, and other activities as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student learning and well-being.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or child care are a plus.
