If so — this opportunity is not to be missed!

The Role – Teaching Assistant

This is a rewarding and hands-on Teaching Assistant role where no two days are the same. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), and challenging behaviour.

You will work closely alongside the class teacher and wider support team to help students engage with learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence within the classroom. The role will involve classroom support, small group work, and helping to create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will be patient, proactive, resilient, and confident managing behaviour, with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with students. Your support will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes both academically and emotionally.

The School – Teaching Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small and supportive secondary SEMH school in Harrow catering for students with SEMH, ASD, MLD, and challenging behaviour.

The school is recognised for its nurturing approach, structured environment, and strong focus on emotional wellbeing and personal development. Staff work closely together to ensure students feel supported, understood, and encouraged to succeed.

You will be joining a passionate and welcoming team that values collaboration, consistency, and professional development. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career within SEN or specialist education.

If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference every day, this Teaching Assistant opportunity could be perfect for you
