Description:

Are you experienced in teaching, especially within Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Are you driven to make a difference for individuals with autism or learning disabilities?

A fantastic opportunity has opened for two innovative and dedicated Tutors to join a charity's Supported Internship programme. These are full-time, permanent positions (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday. Ideal candidates include Higher Level Teaching Assistants working with SEN learners. With at least Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, and a Level 3 or higher teaching qualification, you can advance your career and specialise in SEN education. Join a supportive team and help young people with learning disabilities, difficulties, and/or autism transition into the workforce.
If you excel at creating engaging lessons and thinking outside the box, we want you! You'll have dedicated planning and administrative time each week.

As a Tutor, your focus will be on delivering the educational aspect of the Supported Internship programme. Specifically you will be delivering functional skills maths, English and employability.  Whilst coordinating with employers as young people go into work experience placements.You will collaborate with skills coaches, employer engagement officers, programme coordinators, and welfare officers to support learners.

Educational qualifications (DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, AET 3)
Experience in delivering and assessing functional skills in English and Maths up to Level 2 (not essential)

Please note salary range is £27,061 to £33,293 based on experience.  The organisation does not operate like a school, so they do work throughout school holidays unless requesting leave which is 24 days plus bank hols.  The difference is most lesson planning / marking is achieved within the 9 – 5 working day
