Description:
Teachers are responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons. They participate in the pastoral organization of the school as form tutors and serve as the first point of contact for parents and carers of their assigned tutor group. Additionally, they monitor and set targets for the social and academic progress of individuals in the tutor group, undertake the delivery of tutorial programs as required, and promote good attendance and punctuality. Teachers also monitor attendance in accordance with the school’s Attendance Policy and provide support or intervention for those who struggle to maintain high standards.

Minimum requirements:
* QTS or QTLS Qualification
* Have proven teaching and learning experience
* Have up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience.

It is the nature of the work of our client that tasks, and responsibilities may be unpredictable and varied. All employees are expected to work flexibly when the occasion arises and tasks which are not specifically covered in the job description may have to be undertaken. These additional duties will normally be to cover unforeseen circumstances or changes in work. If the additional responsibility or task becomes a regular of frequent part of the staff member’s job, it will be included in the job description, in consultation with the member of staff.
