SEN Class Teacher – Specialist School, Burnley Contract: Full Time, Term time only
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Start Date: November 2nd Long Term (Possible Temp to Perm if this interests you)
Together Teaching is looking for an SEN Class Teacher to join a fantastic specialist school in Burnley on a full-time, term-time only basis.

Located in Burnley, Lancashire, the school has capacity for up to 50 pupils and offers a safe and supportive environment for children and young people aged 5–18 with a range of complex needs. They believe in fostering a positive and supportive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered. Their holistic approach ensures academic progress is complemented by emotional well-being and personal growth. Role responsibilities
* Responsible for the planning and delivery of high-quality lessons within the national curriculum whilst meeting the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
* Supporting the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
* Reporting on pupils’ progress and concerns, and liaising with other school staff to ensure pupils’ needs are met.
* Supervision of pupils during non-classroom time including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
* Building positive relationships with pupils and driving interaction and positive learning outcomes.
What you will need to succeed
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong basic education to degree level
* Previous teaching experience, preferably in EYFS
* Some previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an educational setting
* Experience of behaviour management and techniques
* Committed to professional development and willing to learn
* Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work
