Salary: MPS/UPS: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum
Start Date: September 2024

GSL Education are seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to work at a Client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire, starting in September 2024.

Teacher of Maths Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering Maths lessons to students based on their individual needs and the curriculum requirements.
Encouraging active student participation, fostering critical thinking, and promoting problem-solving skills.
Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
Follow the ethos and policies of the school, promoting positive behaviour throughout the school.
Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources that enhance the learning experience.
Take part in staff training days, staff meetings and parent’s evenings.
Teacher of Maths Requirements:

Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Maths or STEM Degree.
Have recent experience teaching Maths to an education setting.
Be able to provide 2 professional references, relating to your teaching within the last 2 years (placements will be accepted for ECTs).
Be a passionate educator of young pupils with the ability to differentiate tasks for differing levels.
You must have an enhanced Child Only DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
