Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Teacher of English to join a welcoming secondary school in Ormskirk. This is a full-time temporary position starting immediately and running until Christmas, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Teacher or a confident ECT looking for their next role.
The successful Teacher of English will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-planned English lessons across the secondary age range, helping students to develop their literacy, reading and writing skills. You will join a supportive department and contribute positively to the wider school community.
The Role:
Full-time Teacher of English position
Immediate start until Christmas
Teaching English across KS3 and/or KS4
Planning and delivering engaging English lessons
Supporting students to make progress and achieve their potential
Working collaboratively with the English department and wider school team
Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and learningThe Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching English in a secondary school
Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
Excellent classroom management skills
Able to build positive relationships with students
Available to start immediately
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenThis Teacher of English role would suit an experienced secondary English Teacher, an ECT looking for further classroom experience, or a teacher seeking a temporary position in the Ormskirk area.
