Bolton

£160 - £230 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

Start Date: September 2026

The School and the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join a thriving and supportive secondary school in Bolton on a full-time basis from September 2026.

The successful candidate will teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Years 7–11), delivering engaging and innovative lessons that develop students' digital literacy, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills. You will inspire students to explore technology, programming, and the wider digital world, helping them achieve their academic potential and prepare for future opportunities.

The school has a strong reputation for high standards, positive behaviour, and a commitment to providing a broad and ambitious curriculum. Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet the Below)

To be considered for this Teacher of Computer Science role, you must:

Hold QTS or a PGCE (UK-recognised teaching qualification)
Have recent experience teaching GCSE Computer Science (Years 10 and 11)
Be available full-time for a 1 term cover
Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
Have excellent communication and organisational skills
Be able to provide suitable references, a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply), and Right to Work in the UK
