About the Role -

This is a full-time role in which you will be expected to deliver well-planned lessons and strong behaviour management. The school’s vision is to develop well-rounded citizens through a balanced curriculum, and requires a dynamic teacher who can think on their feet and tailor their lessons to the needs of the pupils. The school itself is only a short commute from centre and therefore benefits from excellent public transport links. This is a permanent contract starting in September 2024.

Job Description

* To facilitate and encourage inspirational learning experiences in Business and Economics which provide students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential and attainment.

* To teach Business Studies across all key stages, and Economics at KS5.

* Where appropriate to teach other subjects within the ICT and Business Curriculum Area (for example ICT and Computing).

* To make effective and creative use of ICT as a teaching tool and a learning medium.

* To highlight the contribution that learning in Business (and ICT) can make to the provision of SMSC and the development of British Values across the school.

* To contribute to the organization of school journeys and trips to broaden understanding of different economic and work contexts.

Training and Qualificaitons

* A good degree in Business Studies, Economics or an associated subject discipline.

* Specific expertise and skills in teaching Business Studies to at least KS4, with the ability or experience to teach Economics at KS5.

* QTS

* Have a love of teaching and a commitment to excellence for all students
