Tax Specialist

Salary: £63,000 with excellent benefits package

On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer with a global brand, we are looking for a qualified Tax Specialist to take a leading role in tax related queries, maintain UK guidelines, and prepare and manage all local income tax and indirect tax returns in compliance with UK and relevant foreign tax regulations.

Your role:

* Maintain the UK principles and guidelines of the Group Tax policy (including Country by Country reporting, Controlled Foreign Countries (CFC) and Law262 compliance)

* Prepare and manage all local income tax and indirect tax returns in compliance with UK and relevant foreign tax regulations

* Manage relationship with HMRC and other tax specialists

* Ensure accurate and timely accounting for income and deferred tax provisions under local and IFRS GAAP, and preparation/submission of related analysis for group and statutory reporting

* Ensure accurate and timely forecasting of prospective direct tax liabilities and cash flows for tax planning and financial reporting purposes

* Identify potential tax exposure and savings and develop and implement solutions and changes

* Manage tax audit enquiries (HMRC and statutory audit) across all taxes in cooperation with Group Tax

* Collaborate and advise local managers and peers in tax aspects of business projects

* Manage relationships with external tax advisors

Your background:

* ACA / ACCA qualified (Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) Is desirable)

* UK Tax advisory experience is essential

* Strong technical accounting skills with a high level of attention to detail

* High proficiency in Excel

* Good analysis skills, able to interpret data and then communicate findings accordingly
