Tax Assistant (Accountancy Practice)

The Client:
Our client is a well-established accountancy firm, specialising in audit, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and other financial services.
The Role:
As a Tax Assistant, you will be preparing and reviewing tax returns, P11Ds, and ATED returns, alongside supporting the Senior Tax Manager in tax planning projects and compliance tasks.
Responsibilities:
Handling trust tax returns, annual declarations, and share transfers.
Collaboration within the team to address queries and support colleagues
Management of client correspondence, ensuring accuracy and client updates
Performing tax calculations and processing overpayment relief claims
Liaising with clients to fulfil requests such as SA302 / Tax year overviews and repayment chasing
Requirements:
Previously worked as a Tax Assistant or in a similar role.
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
ATT qualified or part-qualified.
Skilled in in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent communication and organisation skills.
