You will be working for a large manufacturing business that have a presence worldwide and have the UK head office based near Ellesmere Port. Working within their unique product there are the market leaders.

Main duties

As part of the ongoing development of the Group Tax team, this role provides support across the taxes managed from Ellesmere Port, covering both income and indirect taxes in the Americas, AsPAC and EMEA regions. The role is working directly with the indirect taxes manager (in UK) and the two regional corporate income tax leads (one in UK, one in US).

The main tasks associated with this role are:

As part of a team, compiling and analysing data required to complete VAT, Intrastat and other indirect tax submissions across the EMEA and ASPAC regions
Preparing and auditing of monthly VAT account reconciliations for reporting to Group Finance
Providing support in quarterly and annual tax reporting for the group, including UK corporate tax analysis and computations
Assisting the Tax Leads in specific projects, including ERP and reporting optimisation, BEPS country by country reporting, cash flow monitoring and reporting, and transfer pricingSupporting the Tax Leads in other ad-hoc projects as they arise

Requirements

GCSE's in Maths and English, or equivalent.
Proficient in the use of an established ERP system, such as AX Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle.
Solid Excel skills, where a certification in its use would be beneficial but not essential.
Exposure to the production of detailed and accurate management information/reports.

Benefits

Salary: Competitive

Hours: 37.5 per week (normally 8.30 - 4.30)

Core Hours: Work between 7am - 7pm (core between 10am and 3pm)

Hybrid Working: up to 40% working from home (after probation)

Bonus: on target 4% (depending on personal and business performance this can move up to 30%)

Holidays: 25 per year plus bank holidays.

Pension: on joining 5% / 5%, after probation period, this can move up to 10% / 15%('er)

Death in Service: 6 x salary payable to beneficiaries

Group Income Protection: after company sick pay runs out, this can be up to 50% of salary

Healthcare: taxable benefit for employee, can add spouse/partner/children at their own cost
