My highly established, market leading client is seeking a Systems Support Engineer to join them and work with a global team supporting over 120 Engineers throughout the business. This is a fantastic opporutunity to join a highly reputable business and support the growth of their business internally.

The opportunity is within the Engineering Systems Department for a talented Engineer to join their global support team at their Head Office in South Manchester. The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Systems Manager; will receive training and become a ‘Super User’ of the company’s global Engineering systems.

The role would suit an Engineering Graduate with an eye for detail and an interest in developing their career in supporting Engineering functions through the development of Engineering processes and tools. As well as gaining an in-depth understanding of CAD, CAM and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools, the Engineer will be involved in implementation and improvement projects across the group.

Engineering systems are currently live across 11 sites in 7 countries with a new site to be brought on soon. Supporting over 120 Engineers and multiple exciting and new projects that will add real value to the business.

Function & Scope of Responsibility:

* A ‘Super User’ of the company’s Engineering Systems: Windchill PLM, Creo, Edgecam etc.

* Providing day to day support for all Engineering Systems and Users globally, via the global help desk system

* Train, Monitor and Mentor Users and provide guidance on best working practises

* Develop improved working practises and updated documentation

* Lead Engineering process improvement projects across the group, working in the Engineering Systems team and with key Users/Managers globally to improve and standardise Engineering Systems processes

* Provide primary support for all Engineering Systems implementation projects

* Work closely with members of other Business Systems teams such as IT and ERP, towards common goals

* Help to drive the company’s key strategic objectives of speed, efficiency, standardisation and simplification across all Renold’s Business Systems

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

* Have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively and confidently both alone and as part of a team

* Methodical and high attention to detail

* Systematic approach to problem solving

* Experience of using a 3D CAD & PLM packages - PTC Creo & Windchill is preferable

* Have an understanding of business processes and an analytical approach to work

* A good knowledge and understanding of IT systems

* The ability to manage a large amount of tasks and prioritise work

* Must be able to travel abroad (globally) without visa constraints

They are offering hybrid working, (fully remote for more experienced Engineers), a salary of £30-35k depending on experience, 25 days holiday, Pension up to 7,5%.
