Gordon Murray Technologies, partnering with Forseven, combines the expertise of visionary designers and engineers to bring disruptive technologies and low environmental impact innovations to the mobility sector.

Critical to the implementation of iStream Superlight are integral modules and systems engineered by Gordon Murray Technologies which deliver a range of electrical functionalities - these technologies also being scaleable to serve the delivery demands of any specific platform configuration.

With multiple sites in Shalford and Warwick, Gordon Murray Technologies continues to grow with multiple vehicle programmes currently in development. As a result, we currently have exciting opportunities for Systems Engineer - Vehicle Features to join our Electronics Team in a Midlands-based location.

Responsibilities

Systems engineering with responsibility for concurrent engineering of Gordon Murray Technologies EVs, focusing on defining and delivering software vehicle features.
Ownership and management of complex distributed vehicle features, from definition to delivery, in Chassis, Body, Powertrain, Autonomous Drive, Digital Cockpit, Infotainment, and Connectivity domains. This includes authoring function descriptions, logical architectural diagrams, requirements, and test specifications.
Collaborate with Electrical and Software architectures teams to ensure vehicle features and interfaces align with the Electrical Architecture, and meet quality, safety, and legal requirements. Support domain specialists in feature definitions for technical alignment and adherence to standards.
Support Project Engineers and Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring a common understanding of vehicle software features and their interfaces. Ensure delivery aligns with feature implementation plans. Coordinate and execute certification activities when needed.
Work closely with the Digital Architecture team to ensure network database updates for distributed functions are correctly specified and implemented.
Collaborate with the Verification and Validation team to ensure test strategies and plans provide sufficient coverage at different project stages.
Manage engineering changes and issues during the engineering lifecycle.
Use engineering design artefacts to perform impact and root cause analysis of issues, understanding the impact on vehicle systems, and work with stakeholders to ensure timely solutions.Experience and Qualifications:

Relevant experience in systems engineering delivering software-controlled, distributed functions from conception to launch within an automotive engineering environment.
Experience delivering vehicle components and functions in at least one domain (Chassis, Body, Powertrain, AD, Digital Cockpit, Infotainment, and Connectivity). Experience in multiple domains is beneficial.
Extensive experience generating and analysing requirements, and working knowledge of requirements management tools, like Polarion or Doors.What's on Offer
