The Opportunity
Barnsley College is seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Systems and Data Analyst to join our MIS & Systems team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in how data and digital systems support staff, students and strategic decision‑making across the College.

In this pivotal role, you will help deliver our organisational data and systems strategy, with a strong focus on system integrations, data quality, process improvement, and the development of modern digital tools. You will support the creation of reliable, secure and future‑ready solutions, helping make our systems smarter and our processes more efficient.

Working closely with departments across the College, you will ensure data flows seamlessly between systems, integrations are robust, and information is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose. You will also play an active role in innovation through the adoption of automation, reporting solutions, AI tools and enhanced data validation, contributing to improved operational efficiency and insight.

About You

Your approach
You will combine strong technical knowledge with a logical, service-focused approach. Confident working independently, you will manage competing priorities effectively, take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.

Technical expertise

You will bring a strong foundation in systems and data, together with a proactive, analytical and detail-focused mindset. You will be confident working with data from multiple platforms and experienced in managing integrations, maintaining data quality and supporting accurate, reliable reporting.

Communication and collaboration

You will build effective relationships with technical and non-technical colleagues, explain complex information clearly and translate operational requirements into dependable technical solutions. Working collaboratively, you will adapt your approach to engage a wide range of stakeholders across the College.

Continuous improvement

You will be curious, enthusiastic and committed to continuous learning. You will use initiative, respond positively to changing priorities and take a proactive approach to developing both the role and your technical expertise. Above all, you will value accuracy and security, with a clear focus on delivering practical solutions that make a meaningful difference
