Description:

A leading, nationwide highly acquisitive security services business are seeking a Systems Accountant to join the group to manage and further improve the Group's finance systems - with a focus on Sage 200 and Adaptive Planning. The group has completed the implementation of Sage 200 in the UK and Sage 1000 in France and uses Workday Adaptive Planning for consolidation, reporting and budgeting. Other systems are also used which have an impact on financial reporting, and this provides significant potential for further integration and automation to improve reporting and analysis.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, your primary responsibilities will be:

Oversee and maintain the integrity of financial systems, with a primary focus on Sage 200 and Adaptive Planning
Streamline and improve financial reporting processes by ensuring efficient and effective utilisation of the Group's systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of financial systems with other key business applications and ERP systems
The first point of contact to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the Group's finance systems
Help build financial reports using tools such as Power BI to support reporting and decision-making processes both at Group and in business units
Project manage the implementation of systems to newly acquired businesses, and any new financial systems the Group chooses to implement
Provide training and support to all finance team members on the efficient and effective use of Sage 200 and Adaptive Planning
Propose and implement enhancements to optimise system performance and functionalityPerson Attributes and Qualities

Qualified accountant
High level of accounting system knowledge especially Sage 200 and Adaptive Planning
A thorough understanding of the key role Finance Systems have in meeting reporting requirements
Team player and communicator
Hands on, organised, efficient. Able to work accurately at pace
Pro-active self-starter. Can identify and manage own priorities
