Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a global automotive manufacturing company to help recruit a System Test Engineer, where you will support the Global R&D team in implementing and maintaining software and hardware systems.
As a System Test Engineer you will be developing and implementing test programs. This is an onsite role based oput of their site in Cannock. The role will involve project dependant international travel to sites in US, Europe and China. The clients have estimated this may be upto a maximum of 30% of your time travelling to support current and any new sites.
The main duties and responsibilities will focus around the testing with elements of systems engineering and electronics. In this LabVIEW/Teststand Developer role, you can expect to take on some of the following:
Develop, implement, and maintain in-house software
Develop and implement test programs
Generate and maintain electrical drawings
Work in compliance with all statutory and company safety and quality regulations
To apply for this Software Engineer position, you will need a high level of experience with LabVIEW/Teststand and familiarity with Labview and Teststand architecture. You will also require:
Some experience in writing test software and automated tests
Experience using version control tools (preferred)
Understanding of automotive networks (preferable CAN(-FD), LIN, Ethernet; FlexRay is preferred, but training will be given)
Knowledge of embedded systems and software
Some understanding of Python - for developing scripts would be preferred
