Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip IT company, is currently seeking a System and Network Administrator to work on their customer site in Slough, this role is hybrid working remotely and in the office. This is a full-time (37.5 hours) temporary role for 3 months (August to October) the role is paying £50 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Assist in maintaining data centre systems in Slough
* 24x7 on-call for systems
Part-time on-site at Data Centre and part-time remote for management of infrastructure.
Maintenance Windows occur monthly and will require weekend work.
Equipment installation and configuration.
Assist build of Customer PoCs and Pilots according to established SOPs.
Configure Hardware, Software and Tools.
Assist Cybersecurity team in monitoring and remediation.
Direct interaction with customers to solve support tickets.
Open comprehensive tickets with third parties and work with third parties to resolve.
Assist growing team by helping with test planning and test execution and by suggesting and helping to implement improvements.
Skills & Knowledge
Flexible as processes change and approve.
Data Centre operations and processes.
Tidy cabling skills.
Data Centre Cybersecurity familiarity.
Competency in hardware installation and configuration.
Use technical documentation for guidance.
Creating and updating configuration documentation and improve and contribute to documentation.
Windows and Linux client OS.
