PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Account System Administrator will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and driving the enhancement of our new Oracle NetSuite Finance System. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including system users from across the business, IT and Development, to define, prioritize, and deliver features and improvements that enhance our finance system processes and capabilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar, with previous experience in implementing and developing a specific finance package an advantage. Understanding of finance functions and order management processes

* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Azure DevOps).

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with HR, Payroll, Technical and Development stakeholders.

* Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solution design.

* Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage and prioritize a diverse range of tasks and projects.

* Ability to create and track documentation relating to product changes and modifications.

Subject Matter Expertise:

Serve as the resident expert on features and capabilities, possessing an in-depth understanding of solution approach. configuration, and best practices.

Requirements Gathering:

Collaborate with stakeholders, end users, and other departments to elicit and document detailed requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Feature Definition:

Translate business requirements into user stories, epics, and other appropriate artifacts, maintaining a clear and prioritized backlog.

User Experience (UX):

A basic understanding of UX principles to ensure that the user interface and user experience of the system are user-friendly and efficient.

Release Planning:

Collaborate with NetSuite on upcoming releases, ensuring that features are maintained in alignment with stakeholder expectations.

Ensure relevant testing of new releases prior to Go Live in Production environment prior to major upgrades.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

Work closely with relevant users to define and execute UAT plans, ensuring that developed features meet quality standards and business requirements.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including user guides & process flows, to facilitate effective use of the finance system. Work closely with Learning Team on any Training Documentation and requirements when system changes are made.

Continuous Improvement:

Monitor system performance and feedback to identify areas for improvement, recommending and driving enhancements to optimize data provision and system processes.

Data Quality

Function as the key influencer for data quality working with the business owners to design and lead initiatives to improve data and work with user resources to perform regular data cleansing activity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Liaise between development & technical teams, stakeholders, and end users to facilitate effective communication, address concerns, and ensure successful project outcomes.

Support:

Provide support to system users, helping them understand and effectively utilize changes in the system, and offer ongoing support for inquiries and issues.

Security and Compliance:

Understand data security and compliance regulations to ensure that the system implementation and improvements adhere to legal and regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).-DESIRABLE

Years of Experience

2/3 Years commercial experience in system administration – specific Oracle NetSuite knowledge a distinct advantage -ESSENTIAL
3+ years in finance area understanding key finance requirements -ESSENTIAL

Skills

Self-Learning Programmes Completed Online for all areas of system - DESIRABLE
Excellent communication skills (Written and Oral)- ESSENTIAL
XML Programming -DESIRABLE
Good understanding of relational databases and report writing -ESSENTIAL
