Description:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts.

*

Account for premiums, claims, reinsurance, investments, and expenses.

*

Perform balance-sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.

*

Support Solvency II / UK regulatory reporting and Lloyd’s reporting requirements.

*

Assist with Syndicate Business Plan and forecasting.

*

Work with auditors and provide supporting schedules/evidence.

*

Maintain accounting controls and improve financial processes.

*

Liaise with underwriting, actuarial, claims, tax, and finance teams.

*

Analyse financial results and explain movements to management

*

Requirements:

*

Accounting qualification or studying toward ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.

*

Experience in insurance accounting, financial services, or a similar finance environment is often preferred.

*

Good Excel skills; knowledge of accounting systems is useful.

*

Understanding of UK insurance/Lloyd’s accounting can be important.

*

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines
