Description:
Summit Swimming Pools is looking for an experienced Swimming Pool Technician / Engineer to join our team.
We are looking for someone with practical swimming pool experience who is confident working independently, diagnosing problems and completing repairs and installations to a high standard.
The role
The position will involve working across existing swimming pools as well as new installations. Day to day responsibilities will include:
• Diagnosing swimming pool leaks and identifying faults
• Repairing and installing PVC swimming pool pipework
• Pressure testing pipework and identifying leaks or failures
• Carrying out pipework alterations and repairs
• Preparing swimming pools ready for liner installation
• Measuring, preparing and fitting swimming pool liners
• Completing repairs to existing pool systems
• Fault finding and resolving issues on site
• Working independently and taking responsibility for completing jobs correctly
• Liaising with the wider team regarding repairs, materials and any additional work required
What we are looking for
You should have previous practical experience working with swimming pools and be comfortable carrying out technical work without constant supervision.
You will need:
• Previous swimming pool installation, maintenance or engineering experience
• Good knowledge of PVC pressure pipework and fittings
• Experience pressure testing swimming pool systems
• Experience identifying and repairing leaks
• Experience preparing and fitting swimming pool liners
• Good practical problem solving skills
• A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• A professional and friendly manner when working at customers' properties
• A full UK driving licence
