Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting Darwin Group with their exciting growth plans. They are seeking a Pre-Construction Surveyor on a permanent and full-time basis. You will have strong experience within pre-construction and estimating within JCT and NEC
contracts.

Commutable from:  Telford, Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Wrexham, Wolverhampton

Salary: £ Negotiable dependent on experience plus an excellent suite of benefits including:

Key Responsibilities

Understand, interpret and advise on tender submission documents (ER’s, contracts including JCT, NEC).
Lead contractual / commercial workshops / meetings with client teams, consultants and subcontractors.
Undertaking measures / take-offs for tenders / cost plan updates
Estimation of tenders and engagement with supply chain members
Review, normalisation, clarification and negotiation of subcontractor returns
Compilation of cost plan and associated caveats
Coach / develop Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
Review of designs and identification of value engineering opportunities and programme efficiencies

The Person

Darwin are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor, who is able to work competently in a highly team driven environment.

You will be highly organised and able to work autonomously building good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred applicants will have experience of pre-construction, estimating, healthcare and a good understanding of JCT and NEC contracts with a view to risk mitigation / protecting the company including back end margin.
