Description:

PCR are currently recruiting for an experienced Delivery Surveyor to join an established organisation responsible for the delivery of planned maintenance and investment programmes across its residential property portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Surveyor with experience in planned maintenance, refurbishment or social housing to take responsibility for surveying properties, preparing specifications and monitoring works through to completion.

The role is home based, with regular travel required to properties and project sites across the region.

The Role

As Delivery Surveyor, you will provide technical surveying support across a range of planned works programmes, ensuring projects are properly scoped, delivered to specification and completed to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out property inspections and assessing building condition
• Identifying planned maintenance and refurbishment requirements
• Preparing specifications, schedules of work and scopes for planned programmes
• Monitoring contractors and works on site to ensure quality and compliance
• Undertaking pre, during and post-work inspections
• Identifying defects and ensuring remedial works are completed
• Providing technical advice and support to contractors and internal teams
• Managing variations and changes to works where required
• Monitoring contractor performance and raising any issues relating to quality or delivery
• Maintaining accurate records of inspections, works and property information
• Supporting programme planning and providing accurate information on required works
• Liaising with residents and assisting with technical queries and complaints
• Working closely with Asset Management, Housing and Delivery teams
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with relevant legislation and standards
• Supporting the delivery of programmes within agreed budgets and timescales

The type of work will include planned maintenance and major component replacement programmes, including kitchens, bathrooms and other refurbishment works across residential properties.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience working within a surveying, property maintenance, construction or planned works environment.

You should have experience of:

• Carrying out property inspections
• Preparing specifications and schedules of work
• Planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes
• Kitchens, bathrooms or major component replacement
• Monitoring contractors and works on site
• Identifying defects and managing remedial works
• Working within occupied residential properties
• Liaising with residents and resolving technical queries
• Managing variations and changes to works
• Working to budgets, programmes and agreed timescales

Experience within residential property would be highly advantageous.

A relevant qualification such as HNC/HND, degree or equivalent experience in Building Surveying, Construction or a related discipline would be desirable. RICS or CIOB membership, or a willingness to work towards professional membership, would also be advantageous.

The Opportunity

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to play a key part in the delivery of planned maintenance and investment programmes across a residential property portfolio.

The position offers a home-based working arrangement with regular site visits, providing a good balance between remote working and being involved directly in project delivery.

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
