The Client
Our client is a leading provider of survey, positioning, and data management services to the energy sector. Established in 2005 our client operates globally, with facilities in locations including the UK, Australia, Canada, and the UAE. Our client offers a comprehensive range of surveying services. These services include 3D asset management solutions, land surveying, laser scanning, photogrammetry and dimensional control services.
The Role
Our client is seeking a surveyor to join their team in central Scotland. The surveyor will be responsible for delivery
of topographical & utility surveys within their region. The surveyor will ideally be multi-skilled and have experience
of surveys such as topographical, utilities, setting out, measured building surveys, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
• Topographic and Utilities Surveys: Perform topographic, utilities, and dimensional control surveys, ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality.
• Survey Data Processing: Utilise software to process survey data to a high standard.
• Equipment Operation: Operate Total Stations, GNSS equipment, Laser Scanners, Ground Penetrating Radar, Radio Detection Equipment, and other surveying tools.
• Professional Conduct: Conduct all company business professionally, liaising with clients and reporting to the Geomatics Project Manager.
• Team Leadership: Supervise Geospatial Assistants and collaborate effectively with Surveyors and Senior Surveyors.
• Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure all surveying equipment and vehicles are properly maintained and kept in good condition.
• Daily Reporting: Process documents and provide daily updates on-site survey activities.
• Technical Understanding: Comprehend project materials, technical drawings, specifications, and commercial terms necessary for project execution.
The Requirements
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Geospatial/Industrial Measurement industry is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in AutoCAD, LSS, Trimble Business Centre, Leica Cyclone, Register 360 software.
• Independent and Collaborative Work: Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work away from home and overseas as required.
• Driving License: A valid driver's license is essential.
• Passport: Must hold a valid passport-free from restrictions that preclude travel to and work in countries where our client operates.
