Description:

Supported Housing Service Manager required for a permanent, full time vacancy based in Exeter. This role will be working within a charitable organisation who assist vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society, helping them out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more.

£31,400 per year
37.5 hours per week       
On-call (1 in 4 weeks), £100/week when on-call

About the role

Overseeing multiple units of accommodation, along with a dedicated team of support workers. These units are providing support to individuals with a history of homelessness in the Exeter area.
Lead the service, ensuring that high-quality, person-centred support is provided to residents, and staff meet high-quality standards.
Day-to-day management of buildings, including maintenance and safety issues, ensuring that regular inspections (internal and external) are made and monitored
Ensure that the appropriate levels and quality of staff and other resources are available to meet the agreed service standards, and that a robust staffing rota always exists - the post holder will be expected to provide additional cover if necessary
Regularly engage in discussions with external stakeholders and commissioners.
The right candidate

Proven management experience in a similar setting
A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work.
Comfortable undertaking a DBS criminal record check prior to starting the role - A criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent you from becoming an employee, the decision will depend on the type of offence and its relevance to the role
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of rough sleeping, multiple complex social need and the causes of homelessness.
